Rooibos tea (an Afrikaans word, pronounced "Roy-boss") comes from the South African Red Bush plant, Aspalathus Linearis. Not a tea in the traditional sense of the word (i.e., not from the plant that produces black, green, and Oolong teas), Rooibos is nonetheless a popular beverage. South Africans have been drinking it as a tea for many generations, and now the rest of the world is starting to notice. Rooibos has a refreshing, full-bodied taste; it lacks any tannins and can't be overbrewed.
